human design from an evolutionary perspective
Nothing in the universe is ever stagnant. From the grandest of luminaires, such as the Milky Way, down to the tiniest, most minuscule sub-particle, everything is constantly growing and expanding: The sun, the sky, the moon, the plants, the insects, the rocks, the animals…
the humans. Oh the humans.
But it may not seem like it. If anything, it appears human consciousness is regressing or going backwards. If we were to judge ourselves based on the dysfunction and destruction we’ve created, we’d conclude that our species is completely fucked and there seems to be no way out of our mess.
At least that’s what the mind thinks. And the mind loves to judge everything it can’t understand.
All the chaos and confusion happening around us is just life’s way of calling us to the next step of our evolution. Once the old ways of doing things stop working, we must find a different way to adapt. A sort of mutation that hasn’t existed before.
Sometimes it helps to look at the bigger picture and reflect on where we came from:
During the early part of human history, we learned to survive through our basic instincts. We sought shelter, hunted for food, stayed away from predators, and mated to keep the species from going extinct. We had little to no mental activity, yet we managed to stay alive.
As humans progressed, we developed our mental faculties. We created language to communicate, share knowledge, and expand our intellect. Small family groups turned to small villages. Group identity started to take form. The more complex systems and laws emerged as the mind got more sophisticated. Strategic thinking took precedence over our basic survival.
a huge leap for humans? absolutely. Broadening our minds was not only inevitable but essential to our growth. However, there were consequences. As we became mind-centered, we also became fear-centered. governments, religions, and institutions became the source of truth and authority. We learned how to give our power away to structures that are designed to control us. We look to society, customs, and things outside of us to gauge what is acceptable or not.
These outer structures served their purposes, but no longer carry the same weight moving forward. Right now, we’re being called to take our power back and rely on our inner compasses. To focus on the individual, instead of THE GROUP. To follow our intuition instead of our logic. To trust in the natural flow of life instead of micromanaging every little detail. To LET GO OF CONTROL, above all else.
Every person on earth is designed to live a blissful and abundant life. Abundance, after all, is our true nature. We are meant to have fun the same way we did when we were children. But we’ve been conditioned by society to believe the opposite. We’re programmed to follow certain rules, suppress parts of ourselves, and even sacrifice our happiness for “noble causes.”
That’s absolute horseshit. We’re meant to expand in ways that will bring us more joy and peace—and in turn, bring more joy and peace to the world. We’re meant to be surprised and delighted by the gifts life offers us. We’re meant to live according to our desires, dreams, and passions.
However, as long as we look to anything outside of ourselves for purpose and direction, we won’t be able to find it. Until we embrace ourselves as the source of our power and establish ourselves as the authority, true happiness will continue to elude us.
