I drove to Downtown LA to get this photo taken. At the time, I was suffering from crippling dysmenorrhea and navigating an intense period of psychic unrest. I left my Airbnb in Inglewood anyway because I wasn’t about to let my menstrual cramps interfere with my spiritual pilgrimage.

The session was quick, and the photographer was generous with his interpretations. After the shoot, I ate at Café Gratitude.
